Rod Lewis Founder, President and CEO

Over the past 28+ years, Rod Lewis, President and Chief Executive Officer of LEG, has climbed his way to the top of the international oil and gas industry through hard work, focus and dedication.
With a BS degree from Texas A&I University in Laredo in 1976, Lewis went to work in the oil industry. Starting as a gauger with Stampede Energy, he eventually supervised field production in South Texas for Stampede and for R.L. Burns Corporation.
Lewis bought his first well in 1982, and the oil and gas empire that is now Lewis Energy Group was born.
Today, LEG is preparing for yet another new phase of expansion, including more drilling rigs and development wells and the creation of over 100 new jobs in South Texas. Lewis Energy Group is expected to grow three or four times it’s current size.
When Rod Lewis has a moment to spare, he flies and collects World War II aircraft.

Duane L. Lewis Executive Vice President
|
|
Mr. Lewis has been a Board Member of the company since its inception in 1983. A BBA graduate of the University of Nebraska, he served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force. Afterward, he worked for Laredo National Bank as Executive Vice President and member of the Board of Directors.
Through the years, Mr. Lewis has been actively involved with Lewis Energy Group, providing advice and counsel to management. Today, he serves LEG fulltime.
Mr. Lewis spends his spare time RVing with his family and playing golf.

Alfred G. Holcomb Vice President of Acquisitions and Divestitures
|
|
Alfred G. Holcomb, Vice President of Acquisitions and Divestitures, has been with Lewis Energy since 1987. Board Certified in Tax Law and Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1983, he was one of the first attorneys in Texas to achieve certification in both these specialty areas.
Al received his B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas, his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law and his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University.
Alfred’s outside interests include hunting and golfing. He is also a triathlete.

R. Stan Jumper Vice President of Exploration and Development
|
|
A Certified Petroleum Geologist, Stan Jumper received his MS in Geology and his MBA from Southern Methodist University. He is a member of the Houston Geological Society.
Stan has been with our company since the beginning, actually choosing the location for our first successful well in 1986. Before then, he worked with Union Oil of California and Clint Murchison Jr, in Dallas.
Growing up in east Texas, Stan was captivated by the colorful characters he met in the oil and gas industry.
“I knew I wanted to be a geologist,” he says, “when I was eight years old.”
Stan is an expert in his field. He’s also an avid sports fan. When he’s not finding rewarding exploration sites for LEG, you’re likely to find him playing or coaching soccer.

Craig Rosenstein Chief Administrative Officer
|
|
As Chief Administrative Officer, Craig Rosenstein plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of Lewis Energy. He is responsible for Procurement, Field Services, Safety, Human Resources, Rig and Equipment Services, Payroll and various other administrative related functions.
This means he focuses much of his time on work performance dimensions including quantity and quality of work output, efficient deployment of resources, building effective teams and performance management.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Texas State University. Before he joined the company in 2001, Craig was a successful entrepreneur in the wholesale supply industry. He is a proponent of continuous learning for himself as well as all Lewis Energy employees.
Craig’s outside interests include aviation and outdoor activities with his children.

Scott Wilkinson Chief Operating Officer
|
|
Scott Wilkinson brings almost 40 years worth of engineering and management experience to his job as Chief Operating Officer of Lewis Energy. Before he joined Lewis in 2002, Scott developed his broad expertise in South Texas, the Permian Basin, the Gulf Coast and the Rocky Mountains.
Wilkinson received a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College. Scott enjoys golf and spending time with his family.

Mark N. Witt Chief Financial Officer
|
|
Mark Witt is a senior finance executive with 30 years of energy industry experience serving as CFO for four public energy companies as well as senior management positions with major international energy companies, including BP Exploration, Goldman Sachs, GDF Suez, Virginia Gas Company and Greenfields Petroleum.
Mr. Witt began his career as a CPA with KPMG after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin.

Tony Trevino General Counsel
|
|
In the spring of 1990 Tony Trevino left his law practice in Houston to become an oil and gas lawyer in South Texas. One of his first clients was Rod Lewis. For over twenty-one years Tony served as outside counsel for Lewis Energy Group, with a primary focus on acquisitions and transactions. In the fall of 2011 Tony joined the Company as General Counsel.

Tony received his B.A, from the University of Texas at Austin in 1983 and his J.D. from the University of Houston in 1986. Tony is a State Bar of Texas Fellow and a past Board Member of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
Tony enjoys dedicating his free time to worthy organizations like the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Mark Stavinoha Chief Accounting Officer

|
Since joining Lewis Energy in 2000, Mark has played a critical role in the financial management of the company. “I love the challenge,” he says, speaking of the dynamic and sometimes volatile nature of the oil and gas industry.
A graduate of Texas Lutheran University with a BA in Accounting, Mark is a Certified Public Accountant. He was previously with Midstream Energy for more than 20 years.
In his leisure time, Mark enjoys hunting and fishing.

Michael E. Emmons Chief Information Officer
|
|
Michael joined Lewis Energy in 2010 bringing 30+ years of experience as an Information Technology professional from various industries. He has broad experience and expertise leading IT organizations in the support and transformation of computer systems and business processes to meet the needs of rapidly growing companies.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas State University and his M.B.A. from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas.
He enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, water skiing and raising cattle.

Pat Mendoza Chief Operating Officer, Latin America
|
|
Pat Mendoza had been in the oil and gas business for more than 30 years—the last 17 with Lewis Energy. As our Chief Operating Officer, Latin America, Pat’s most important responsibility is looking after the company’s bottom line. “Our job,” he says, “is to make money for the company—to see that we grow and prosper.”
The most rewarding aspect of Pat’s work is “training people to be the great team leaders who will take Lewis Energy into the future.”
Pat loves hunting and fishing and barbecues with family and friends.

Rick Smart Vice President of Field Services
|
|
Rick Smart joined Lewis Energy Group in 2010 to manage the startup fracturing division, Falcon Completion Services, and was promoted to Vice President of Field Operations in October of 2011. Product lines include fracturing, coil tubing, wireline, frac Sand, construction, trucking and water transfer.
Rick has over 30 years of oilfield related experience, including management assignments, both domestic and international, for BJ Services, Baker Hughes and Hexion Specialty Chemicals. Locations include China, Egypt, Nigeria, Bakersfield, CA., Grand Junction, CO. and in East Texas. His favorite way to spend spare time is with his wife and family and watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.

Mike Loudermilk Vice President of Drilling
|
|
Mike Loudermilk has a diverse oil and gas background that started over 35 years ago when he worked for his father drilling shallow wells on his leases in Oklahoma.
Over the years Mike has worked as an engineer and manager in production, completions, reservoirs and drilling. He has worked on major oil and gas exploration and development on six of the seven continents and has extensive deep-water experience. In 2008, Mike left his manager position at Tesco for the Vice President of Drilling at Lewis Energy Group. Mike enjoys finding and implementing new technologies and thinking of innovative ways to do the job more efficiently. Mike won the Society of Petroleum Engineers “Drilling Engineer of the year” award in 2010.
He has a technical degree in petroleum engineering from Oklahoma State and an MBA in Management from the University of Texas at Arlington. He holds two patents and has published two technical papers.
Mikes pastimes include hunting, golf, sport and spending time with his family.

Chad McGuffin Vice President of Land
|
|
Chad McGuffin, Vice President of Land, began his career with Lewis Energy in 2004 and has led the Land Department since 2007. Chad received a B.B.A. in Finance and Information and Operations Management from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
Chad is an avid sports fan who enjoys spending time with his family, shooting sports, hunting and golf.
